A Gurney's Escape

I've taken a little time off work for much needed relaxation to just sit and clear my mind. I wanted feel away from it all to reenergize for a few days or even just for a few hours.
I began my hunt but wasn't in the mood to fly anywhere or do anything too tasking to get to a quick paradise escape. So I thought long and hard and weighed my options of the amazing places New York has to offer via HotelTonight.

I opted on the Hamptons a quick easy hop on the train and one of New York's little secret paradise. Using the HotelTonight Tag words "luxe & Pool" for my search I instantly fell in love with Gurney's Montauk. Booked and ready to go I thought "thank god I don't have to get on a plane" , so I hopped on the LIRR and listened to Jayz . Close to my arrival I received a call confirming my complimentary pick up from the train station to the hotel. Check in was simple and I was then directed to my oceanfront view room.

Refreshed and ready to check out what the hotel has to offer I grabbed a bite and enjoyed a bottle of something bubbly by the FirePit. A little later I decided to relax on the beach for a few and touch up on my tan. Ending the day with dinner at Scarpetta Beach that kept its name for amazing seafood was the perfect ending to my first day.

Waking up to the ocean and sipping a cup of coffee on my balcony while watching the sunrise is basically one of the best starts to an amazing day. One of the more enjoyable aspects of the Hotel is that is has various dine in options. Not having to leave the property, I decided to grab brunch at TILLIES which had an option of Buffet or A La Carte. While their buffet had an array of delicious options I decided to indulge in some French toast, a mango mimosa. Their extremely friendly staff added to me enjoying my meal.

Well fed and ready to go I went to the beach to catch some waves. One last hooray so I wanted a different atmosphere and change of pace. One of my drivers Lester recommended the nice restaurant NAVY BEACH to grab a bite and watch the sunset. It was the perfect night home away from home. I was officially refreshed and ready to head back to Brooklyn.
